Coral stone wall and door – Print on Arches Aquarelle Rag, Acid Free Paper. Limited to 65 prints.

Lamu’s houses, many dating back to the early 18th century, are celebrated for their intricately carved wooden doors. The thick walls are constructed from coral stones. It is the ideal building material – strong, light and readily available, with time the stone becomes harder and more homogenous due to exposure to rain and sun.
