Pencil drawings (Prints)
Introducing Andrew Kamiti’s exclusive collection:
Pencil Drawings Limited Edition Giclee Prints. Andrew takes pride in presenting fine art Giclee prints of unparalleled quality. Each Giclee print is meticulously crafted, utilizing a special large format printer to ensure individualized production and high resolution. Derived from digital scans of the original artwork, Giclee, a French term meaning “spraying of ink,” captures every intricate detail. With over four million droplets per second, a fine stream of ink is delicately sprayed onto specially treated acid-free paper, ensuring authenticity and fidelity to the original piece. The paper Giclee prints are limited to 100 editions, while selected prints on Epson exhibition canvas are restricted to just 30 editions. For canvas prints, I employ Museum-grade Archival Timeless Varnish for long-lasting protection and preservation of your investment.
The prints are meticulously rolled and securely packaged in a mailing tube, ready for shipping to destinations worldwide.
The inspiration behind my pencil drawings stems from my extensive field expeditions across East Africa. From the dense forests of Bwindi in Western Uganda, where I seek out the majestic Mountain Gorillas, to the vast plains of the Serengeti in Tanzania. I traverse through Tarangire National Park, encountering herds of elephants and the iconic baobab trees, and explore the diverse wildlife population of Ngorongoro Crater.
The breathtaking landscape of Maasai Mara in Kenya is an annual pilgrimage for me, offering endless inspiration. Observing the graceful movements of creatures like Imani the cheetah, Bahati the leopard, and the majestic Topi pride of lions reigning over their territory fills me with awe and wonder.
Throughout these journeys, I am privileged to collaborate closely with local guides whose expertise and insights are invaluable to my artistic process.
